When Mentakab mentors Jimmy and Martina arrived in Malaysia, the floods were at their peak. This meant that roads were hazardous or completely flooded, many people were displaced, there was a food shortage for many people.

During this time, Martina and Jimmy helped out in their local neighborhood with flood relief. Using their time and energy to help build flood relief packages in their community for those who were affected by the flooding.

Many people from the neighborhood came out to help package canned food, biscuits, water, and rice to be given to flood victims.
