Mentakab mentor Jimmy Ma organized an exciting reading event at his school this week. With the help of the teachers and students, TELL2 school SJKC Khee Chee was able to purchase over 5000rm in books! This resulted in the school receiving over 100 books for their library free of charge!

This event was under the Temerloh Wave program and named the Scholastic Book Club program. It was attended by some special guests including Martina Gilmartin and Tom Hanly from the Temerloh cluster, Tom White from Bera, Ryan Harb from Kuantan, the SIS adminstrator: Ms Amilin, and of course: mascots Brighton and Torch!

Scholastic Book Clubs were established in Malaysia in 2004. This program was a joint-venture between the KPM and the international Scholastic publishing company.

The mission of the Scholastic Book Clubs is to get students reading using storybooks and keep them reading!
