TELL2 Temerloh cluster just finished their 2nd TPD of the year. This TPD focused on English Displays. English displays are sections of the school that are devoted to English Language. These displays can be in the classroom, but are often made outside of the classroom in a public area that promotes public access.

There are many reasons to use English Displays in the school. One of the most important is to influence the English school environment and bring English out of the classroom. Because of this reason and others, creating English language displays in TELL2 schools is not only a program of TELL2. Creating English displays is also a part of the Temerloh Wave program.

Our TPD consisted of eliciting different reasons from the teachers on the benefits and characteristics of English Displays, discussions, examples of successful displays in other schools, and planning displays for their own schools in groups.

Powerpoint Presentations used in the TPD can be downloaded (in .rar format) by clicking this link.
